Apple TV+ App Rumored to be Coming to Android
Dec-21-2022
Apple TV+ is the company's in-house streaming service, offering an ever-growing collection of original shows and movies. Unfortunately, Android users have been left without a dedicated app for phones or tablets. However, a recent rumor suggests that the app may soon be available on the Play Store.
The rumor originated from Apple tipster ShrimpApplePro, who claimed that the company is working on bringing its streaming service to Android. This is further supported by the fact that an app appeared on Android TV devices in the summer of 2021. Additionally, Apple already has a presence on the Play Store with its Move to iOS app and Music streaming service.
Currently, the only way to watch Apple's original content on Android is to use its website. While it works well enough for local playback, it lacks the convenience of a native application and doesn't offer Cast support.
If the rumor is true, Android users may soon be able to access Apple TV+ on their phones and tablets. This would be a welcome addition to the Play Store, allowing users to stream and download shows like For All Mankind, Ted Lasso, and Severance on the go.
