Ubisoft Unveils Iconic Star Wars Characters and Locations in Upcoming 'Star Wars Outlaws'

Ubisoft Massive and Lucasfilm hosted an exclusive panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, throwing light on the much-anticipated open-world game, 'Star Wars Outlaws'. The developers went into detail about the game's features, including exciting character interactions and exploration of iconic Star Wars locations.

According to Creative Director Julian Gerighty, players will cross paths with the notorious crimelord, Jabba the Hutt, and the legendary Eis Mosley cantina. He hinted at surprise appearances and interactions, encouraging fans to explore the game’s storyline. Gerighty also spoke about the challenges of incorporating the iconic location of Tatooine into the game, with the team using DK visual guides to build an authentic and enjoyable gameplay experience.

The director also spoke highly of the open-world aspect of the game, emphasizing its potential to foster player agency. He praised Ubisoft's focus on 'virtual tourism', aiming to recreate the Star Wars universe with as much authenticity as possible. This approach seeks to satisfy fan curiosity about the world of Tatooine, its layout, and its unique features.

Ubisoft Massive further announced that the voices of Jabba the Hutt and Nix, a key character in the game, will be performed by veteran Star Wars voice actor, Dee Bradley Baker. In addition to this, the team shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring Humberly González, the actress behind the game's protagonist, Kay.

'Star Wars Outlaws' promises an immersive, authentic, and thrilling Star Wars experience. With its focus on both character and location authenticity and depth, the game is set to significantly up the stakes in the open-world gaming landscape.
